Joseph Cloud was the son of Wm Cloud, of Calne, Wiltshire, England, who purchases land 1682, which was afterwards laid out in Concord twp. William's will of 1702, mentioned, among others, his son Joseph....Joseph came to the New World as a servant to John Bezer and received his 50 acres in Caln twp, where he was living in 1709. Joseph married Mary Moore, widow of Richard Moore, and mother of Thomas and John Moore.
