John Holston
from EDGMONT; THE STORY OF A TOWNSHIP, by Carter,
John Holston was mentioned in the township in 1693....and
in 1686-96, a John Holstone is included in the tax returns... In 1691/2. John
Holston was Constable for Edgmont...he is recorded as having acted as
attorney for John Rhoads in land deeded by Rhoads in Darby to Lewis David.
According to EARLY COURT RECORDS. 1697-1710, John Holston was appointed
constable of Edgmont in 1708, 1709, 1710.
