Brownback's Church Info



The following people wrote to Rev. Jacob Lischey that they wished for him to become their minister ....those signing , in 1743, were:

At this time there was no church building.....then a school was built and they held meetings in the school until 1750, when the log church was built.

A document was signed on how to handle the money and contributions to the building of Brownback's Church.....those who signed were:


The land for church and graveyard was donated by Gerhart BROWNBACK, who settled abt 1725. It was named after him as "Brownback's Reformed Church, of East Coventry Township.
